Tillingham Estate
✓ Estate-verified · August 2026
A farm-to-glass estate outside Rye with a Michelin Green Star kitchen, a pizza barn, hop-barn rooms and bell tents — daily 90-minute tours at £40, and dogs welcome in the grounds, bar and pizza area.
The visit
Tillingham runs tours every day, and unusually for a Sussex estate you can also just turn up to the bar for a wine flight without booking anything. It’s an adults-oriented visit — under-18s can’t join the public tours.
Daily tours, 90 minutes, £40 a head
Tours run daily, last around 90 minutes and cost £40 per person, including four wines. If you’d rather not do the full tour, there are £15 wine flights on the bar.
Grounds, bar and pizza area
Dogs are welcome in the grounds, the bar and the pizza area — so you can make a full afternoon of it with a dog in tow.
Under-18s can’t join public tours
The estate does not allow under-18s on tours unless you book a private tour. Worth planning around if you’re coming as a family.
Rye is the closest station and most people take a taxi from there. The walk is a lovely one but takes around an hour and a half, so don’t plan it casually. There’s plenty of parking on site.
The walled garden is closed to the public while it goes through repairs, so it’s not part of a visit at the moment.
