The Nest, open daily
The Nest, the cellar door, is open daily from 10am to 5pm, bank holidays included. Walk-ins are welcome for wine by the glass or bottle.
Booked tours, or a walk on your own
Tours, tastings and seated food experiences are pre-booked: among them the Classic Vineyard Tour and Tasting, the Estate Tour with lunch and the Icons Experience. The self-guided vineyard walk (about 45 minutes) needs no booking.
Dogs on leads; children outdoors
Dogs on leads are welcome on the self-guided walk, outdoors and on the ground floor of The Nest. Children are welcome on outdoor experiences but not on hosted tastings and tours.
Platters and lunches, booked
There’s no restaurant; food comes with booked experiences, and walk-in snacks and platters are usually available Friday to Sunday. Outside picnics aren’t allowed.
Take the train to Ashford International, then a pre-booked taxi. Gusbourne says not to travel to Appledore station, which has no taxis or regular buses.
